These are images that reveal themselves over time
Drawing and painting is a language that relates my experience of spending time in wild and rugged environments.
Our conscious brain attempts to make sense of our environment by framing it in stillness, although nothing could be further from the truth of a constantly changing and evolving reality.
By spending time, a long time in out door spaces without the confines of roof and walls our preliminary external visual response slowly evolves into a deeper inner connection. We are able to glimpse the limitless space and time of our existence.
From this knowledge follows paintings that shift and change, move in and out of layers and colours and I that bring a greater openness in exploration.
